About Deniz Sarikaya
After graduating from Dalhousie Law School, Deniz began his career as a criminal defence lawyer. He has defended hundreds of criminal cases. Through his experience he has earned a reputation as a tough and tenacious trial lawyer. He has been counsel in numerous jury trials and represented clients charged with a variety of crimes from drug offences to sex crimes and homicides. Deniz is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who has handled high profile cases with complicated issues where the waters run deep.
Deniz uses his experience and his unique perspective to investigate the case and develop a theory of the case which is key to mounting a strong defence. As defence counsel, he has secured not guilty verdicts and successfully defended people charged with all types of criminal offences.
Deniz was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2008. He is admitted to practice in all of Ontario and he has appeared as defence counsel in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Review Board, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Additionally, Deniz is a good standing member of the Law Society of Ontario and he is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association.
